Kotołak is a solo progressive metal project, my private musical space, the results of which I wanted to share. It’s also my zone of self-expression (not just musical). Over the years, I’ve been trying to be assimilated into a uniform social mass where everyone is the same. I’ve always been told that it can’t be done (in various contexts of my life)… there was always something wrong. Following the prescribed line was never natural for me. I’ve always been searching for my style, which was denied to me… because it’s too difficult… because it’s not done in metal… because it’s too strange… because I’m not a musical genius (who knows? They were also called crazy) and I should be a good girl doing everything like everyone else. I’ve never been able to fulfill myself with others, so I started my own progressive metal project, where I’m not afraid to experiment with modern music as well. A different brain structure makes me look at music differently and work a little differently. Some call it originality, others eccentricity. Never mind – it’s finally something of my own, where no one tells me how to express myself. So I invite you to explore my musical space and all the things around music and inside me that influence my creativity.

Each piece has its own story, which you can explore. Currently, these are mainly demo versions, waiting to be re-recorded. Kotołak is a “basement project,” and I’m putting in every effort to make it sound as best as possible. I’m not ashamed of my history and the low starting point from which I begin. Nevertheless, I encourage you to listen and support – without support, it will be difficult for me to move forward.
