When I first read about H.I.M., I was intrigued by the label “love metal”. It seemed like a very exotic yet cool idea to me. However, I didn’t quite click with the aforementioned band… although I didn’t listen to too many H.I.M. songs, the ones I did hear didn’t appeal to me. The theme of love was presented there in a too pop-like manner for my taste… yet love and everything around it is perhaps the greatest source of emotions in human life. And I wanted to pay homage to it.
I speak about my past romantic experiences – I’ve been in relationships, with emphasis on the word “been”. Complete loneliness is something known and natural to me, and romantic failures have been the source of the greatest pain in my life. Yes, I know what loneliness is. And you… what do you know about loneliness?
